The bhakti movements spread throughout India

<u>Explanation:</u>

  • The rise of devotional Bhakti movements was found and led by  Ramanuja, Ramananda, Tukaram, Guru Nanak, Surdas, Chaitanya, Mirabai, Tulsi Das, and many others.  
  • Bhakti movement began between the 7th and 12th centuries. Various factors favored the growth of the Bhakti Movement.
  • Hinduism who became more ritualistic and dogmatic and was ridden by the caste system, that alienated the lower castes.  
  • In South India, the Bhakti Movement was led by popular saints such as Alvars and Nayanars, who disregarded the austerities preached by Jainism and Buddhism.
  • These saints wrote slokas of Bhakti movement in their native languages like Tamil and Telugu and traveled widely to spread their message of love and devotion to everyone, irrespective of caste, color, and creed.

I would agree because language is a major part of culture. Expression of culture is also passed down from generation to generation, as is language. Denying one the right to speak their native language is in fact denying them their right to cultural expression.
