Answer:

A. 15,840 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

1 mile = 5,280 feet (I think "five tomatoes" is helpful: five tomatoes --> five-two-eight-oh)

multiply both sides of equation by 3: 1 * 3 = 5,280 * 3

simplify: 3 miles = 15,840 feet, which means A is the answer

A plane left Chicago at 8 A.M. At 12 P.M., the plane landed in Los Angeles, which is 1,700 miles away.
DaniilM [7]

Commercial passenger flights always list the time AT THE PLACE where
the event took place.  The data you gave in your question means that the
flight departed ORD at 8:00 AM Central (Chicago) Time, and arrived LAX
at 12:00 PM Pacific (Los Angeles) time.

Since the trip spanned two time zones, it was actually in the air for 6 hours.

Average speed = (distance) / (time to cover the distance)

                         = (1,700 miles) / (6 hours)  =  (283 and 1/3) miles per hour.

====================================

But that wasn't what you had in mind, was it.

You meant that the flight took 4 hours.

In that case, the average speed was

                   (1,700 miles) / (4 hours)  =  425 miles per hour.

This is a much more reasonable average speed for a long haul
passenger jet airliner.

The area of a parallelogram is 18 square units.one side of the parallelogram is 24 units long.The other side is 6 unit long. whi
skad [1K]

Answer:

3/4 or 4

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that Area = base * height. If the base is 24, then the height could be 18 / 24 = 3 / 4. If the base is 6, then the height could be 24 / 6 = 4.

How many times larger is the volume of a cone if the radius is multiplied by 6?
yan [13]

Answer:

36 times larger.

Step-by-step explanation:

V= \pi *r^{2}*\frac{h}{3} is the original volume of a cone formula.

If the radius is multiplied by 6 the new formula is:

V= \pi *(6x)^{2} * \frac{4}{3}

Which is simplified to:

V= \pi *36r^2*\frac{h}{3}

The only difference between the simplified formula and the original is the *36 so the new volume is 36 times larger when the radius is multiplied by 6.

Which would you consider to be more accurate, a probability experiment of 10 trials or a probability experiment of 100 trials
Marat540 [252]
I would 100 because the more the trials means the more the results which means you get more of an accurate experiment then if you only did 10. Because since you have so many answers from all of the experiments you can conclude the correct answer from all of the experiments. I hope you get what I’m trying to say
