The similarities the colonists saw in the Greek, Roman, and English traditions of government are that they are all designed to be aristocratic.

This is evident in the fact all three governments are traditionally placed among the hands of a few groups of the privileged ruling class known as Aristocrats.

All three governments are also similar in terms of city-states' formation.
