Answer:

35 mph

Step-by-step explanation:

time = distance / speed

210 miles and has an average of a certain speed

t = 210 / s

If the average speed had been 3mph more, he could have traveled 228 miles in the same length of time

t = 228 / (s + 3)

Set equal

210 / s = 228 / (s + 3)

Cross multiply

210s + 630 = 228s

Subtract 210s from both sides

630 = 18s

Divie both sides by 18

35 = s

35 mph

In 2019, the average temperature in some parts of the
Mice21 [21]

Answer:

-13.315° F

Step-by-step explanation:

Number of years from 2019 to 2050 is 2050 - 2019 = 31 years

Increase in temperature per year = 0.135

Increase in temperature for 31 years = 0.135*31 = 4.185

Average temperature in 2050 = -17.5 + 4.185 = -13.315° F

Eliminate the parameter,t, in the parametric equation, x=6cos t, and y =3 sin t
german
X = 6 cos(t)
y = 3 sin(t)

we can rewrite these equations as:

\frac{x}{6}=cost(t) \\ \\ \frac{y}{3} =sin(t)

Taking squares of both equations we get:

( \frac{x}{6})^{2}=sin^{2} (t) \\  \\
( \frac{y}{3})^{2}=cos^{2}(t)

Adding both the equations, we get:

\frac{ x^{2} }{36}+ \frac{ x^{2} }{9}=sin^{2}(t)+cos^{2}(t)   \\  \\
 \frac{ x^{2} }{36}+ \frac{ x^{2} }{9}=1
