Gordon and Tess are trying to determine whether ΔABC and ΔFGE can be proven congruent through rigid motions.
Elenna [48]

Answer: Both Gordon and Tess

Step-by-step explanation:

If you reflect a triangle onto another triangle and they overlap perfectly without spilling over or being too small, the triangles are the EXACT same. If you translate a triangle to the right by 5 and down by 7 and it perfectly covers the other triangle, the triangles are also congruent. Therefore, both Gordon and Tess are correct!

Hope this helped!

A ship has an island directly in the path of the destination port, so it has to travel 11.5 miles west and then 8.4 miles north
natulia [17]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The direct distance there (without the island in the way) is found using the Pythagorean Theorem

c^2 = a^2 + b^2

a = 8.4

b = 11.5

c = ?

c^2 = 8.4^2 + 11.5^2              Square the length of the legs.

c^2 = 70.56 + 132.25            Combine

c^2 = 202.81                          Take the square root.

c = 14.24

But the island is there. The distance travelled = 8.4 + 11.5 = 19.9 miles

So the additional distance = 19.9 - 14.24 = 5.66 miles.

What is nine? Huhhhhhhhhhhh?
grigory [225]

Step-by-step explanation: The base of the power in the original equation becomes the base of the log. So we have ^{log}3.

Next, the exponent in the original equation goes on the other side of the equation and finally, the result in the original equation goes inside the log.

So we have ^{log} 3 9 = 2 which is 3² = 9 written in logarithmic form.

This can also be switched around to read 2 = ^{log} 3 = 9.

So the first choice will be your answer.

My work is also show in the image attached,

I just didn't switch it.
