Solve for c: c= 5 5/6 x 2
A. 10 5/6
B. 11 2/3
C. 10 2/3
D. 11 5/6
exis [7]

Answer:

B. 11 2/3

Step-by-step explanation:

c = 5 5/6*2

Change the mixed number to an improper fraction

5 5/6 = (6*5+5)/6 = (30+5)/6 = 35/6

c = 35/6 *2

c = 35/6 *2/1

  = 70/6

Now we change it back to a mixed number

6 goes into 70 11 times

11*6 = 66 with 4 left over

11 4/6

We can simplify 4/6 by dividing the top and bottom by 2

11 2/3

Is the simplified form of 2 square root of 3⋅square root of 12 rational?
nalin [4]

Answer:

yes

Step-by-step explanation:

2 sqrt(3) * sqrt(12)

Rewriting sqrt(12) as sqrt(4 *3)

We know that sqrt(ab) = sqrt(a) sqrt(b)

sqrt(12) = sqrt(4) sqrt(3) = 2 sqrt(3)

2 sqrt(3) * sqrt(12) = 2 sqrt(3) * 2 sqrt(3)

                              =4 * (sqrt(3) )^3

                              = 4 *3

                               =12

-1/4×3/5×-2/5 what dose this Equal
Alex787 [66]

Answer:

3/50

Step-by-step explanation:

Multiply across the fraction- First start with the numerator digits (-1, 3, and -2)

-2*-1= 2 and 2*3= 6 So you should have 6 as your numerator

Now look at the denominator digits (4, 5, and 5)

Multiply across and you should get 100 as your denominator

You now have 6/100 but you are not done yet! Don't forget to simplify the fraction to get your final answer

Both 6 and 100 are divisible by 2 (6 divided by two is 3, and 100 divided by two is 50)

Thus, your final answer should be 3/50!

If i eliminate x from 5x+3y=9
2x-4=40, what would the new two equations be?
viktelen [127]

You cannot eliminate x and end up with two different equations.

5x+3y=9.. B

2x-4=40...A

Solve A for x.

2x - 4 = 40

2x = 40 + 4

2x = 44

x = 44/2

x = 22

The only thing I can think of doing is to plug 22 into B.

5(22) + 2y = 9

110 + 2y = 9...This leads to an answer for y.

No two NEW EQUATIONS is possible.

2y = 9 - 110

2y = -101

y = -101/2
