Hi!! please revise my argumentative essay about fire prevention ! "Write an argument for or against the idea of using controlled

fires to protect wild areas. "
I believe that using controlled wild fires is a dangerous and destructive way of trying to protect wild areas, and here are my reasons why. First off, After the fire goes out, precipitation can cause the ash and soil from the event to begin washing downward triggering landslides, mudslides, and other forms of erosion, creating an unsafe environment for both people and wild life.

Secondly , forest fires under control can still cause other structures and surrounding areas to burn. For example, A 2000 fire set by U.S. Park Service officials at Bandelier National Monument in New Mexico raced through the community of Los Alamos to consume over 400 homes. I personally don't feel that setting a forest on fire just for it to cause major devastation is the right way to go about caring for a forest.

Third off, Forest fires are an extremely expensive experience, even when set for a positive reason. The estimated cost of the Camp Fire in 2018 was $16.5 billion, making it the most destructive wildfire in the history of the state. It was also the deadliest event of its type since the 1918 Cloquet fire in the U.S. and one of the worst fires ever suffered in world history. Over $4 billion in losses were uninsured. That outcome is only one cost to consider.

And lastly, Controlled forest fires can devastate the ecosystem. When forest fires go out of control, they have the potential to eradicate the forests ecosystem. This can adversely impact the animals, insects, soil, and water in the area. The water can possibly even become polluted from the smoke and ash, rendering it unsafe for marine life. and without those vital fish, there are fewer food options for the surrounding animals.

So all in all, I believe that though controlled wild fires may have some useful attributes, they are very dangerous and unpredictable, and I feel that they should find alternative solutions to protecting and caring for our forests and wild life.

Answer:

[{I believe that using controlled wildfires is a dangerous and destructive way of trying to protect wild areas. After the fire, precipitation can cause many forms of destruction, it can cause structures and areas around it to burn, it can totally destroy the ecosystem, and is an extremely expensive experiment.} ]

Note: You need to have an introduction paragraph, to tell the teacher  what you believe about controlled fires. State your reasons, but do it quickly. You'll expand on those reasons in the next paragraphs, which will give you a paragraph for each problem.

First off, after the fire goes out, precipitation can cause the ash and soil from the event to begin washing downward triggering landslides, mudslides, and other forms of erosion, creating an unsafe environment for both people and wildlife.

[{Another problem is that}] forest fires under control can still cause other structures and surrounding areas to burn. For example, a 2000 fire set by the U.S. Park Service officials at Bandelier National Monument in New Mexico raced through the community of Los Alamos to consume over 400 homes. Setting a forest on fire just for it to cause major devastation is not the right way to go about caring for a forest.

Note: It's fine to use first off, but don't do first of, second off, third off, etc. Change it up a bit.

[{Also,}] controlled forest fires can devastate the ecosystem. When forest fires go out of control, they have the potential to eradicate the forest's ecosystem. This can adversely impact the animals, insects, soil, and water in the area. The water can possibly even become polluted from the smoke and ash, rendering it unsafe for marine life, and without those vital fish, there are fewer food options for the surrounding animals.

Note. Avoid the repetition.

[{Forest fires are [{also}] an extremely expensive experience, even when set for a positive reason. That outcome is only one cost to consider.}]

Note: I think it would be better to put the expense part last.

So all in all, I believe that though controlled wildfires may have some useful attributes, they are very dangerous and unpredictable. [{They can cause many different types of problems, start surrounding structures on fire, totally devastate the ecosystem, and cost a large amount of money.}] I feel that they should find alternative solutions to protecting and caring for our forests and wildlife.

Note: Restate the reasons.

Note: Since you didn't put any quotes in here, you don't need to do the resources. if you use any quotes, make sure to put quotation("") marks around it.

P.S. anything I added in I put in {these}, and I put [these] around things that I'm noting.

I hope this helps! Have a great day!

The apples were bright red, they didn't taste good. Choose the best correction for this sentence with a comma splice. The apples
ruslelena [56]

Answer:

The apples were bright red, but they didn't taste good.

Explanation:

The author of the sentence is showing a statement contrary to the statement that has already been said, in which case, the two statements must be joined with words like "but" and "entertaining". In addition, we must pay attention to the fact that words like "but" and "meanwhile" must accompany a comma that must be placed before these words.

In this case, the only correct alternative is: "The apples were bright red, but they didn't taste good."

Which step should you take first after viewing a commercial for a product?
V125BC [204]

Answer:

What step should you take FIRST after viewing a commercial?

Explanation:

Well, let's get an understanding when we see a commercial for a product. It's mostly just to get you to purchase the product, getting you intrigued and probably hyping you up enough to get the product yourself in the markets, but it's not always like that for some. But, what's the first thing you should do after viewing a commercial:

Basing your final decision on the visuals used-

This is your final decision, not your starting decision on whether or not you should buy the product, I believe that it is good, but even at points the visuals aren't always the exact thing what you're gonna get if you buy it, it's probably gonna be different than what it shows on TV.

Buying the product if the commercial was funny-

No matter if it gave you a chuckle, it'll probably "try" and connect with you, it doesn't care if you enjoyed it, as long as you buy the product and use it, they only care about the income that is generated from their product.

Examining your emotional response-

What you feel about it is a good way to think about if you should get it or not, if it made you happy and excited and you believe it's a good 'want' or 'need', it's probably recommended for you. If you don't like it or you just don't feel that excited, you shouldn't really get it nor try and see if you would like it, wasting money either way.

Making a decision based on whether you like the background music

Go ahead, but this is Brainly, we have epic brains (I need help), but for real though, making a decision on the background music? That's just like saying "I like this show because of the outro music, or the intro song" and not because of what it's purpose it, mainly just to entertain or inform, if you apply that to a product, it's just not a good idea nor a good mindset to be in.

But, I believe that examining your emotional response is the way to go, it could also be by basing your final decision on the visuals, however, that's a final decision, this is the first step, which means to see how you feel about it and see if you should get it or not.
