PLZ HElP -- Examine these quadratic graphs. The black parabola is the parent function, y = x2, which is actually in the vertex f

orm of a quadratic equation. The other four graphs are generated by manipulating this parent function. You know what each term means in this vertex form: y = a(x - h)2 + k . You know about the maximum and the minimum of a quadratic.
Task 1:

1. Use the vertex formula, and find how you can get the parent equation y = x2. 2. Select one of the colored graphs. Using your knowledge about the vertex formula and the quadratics, including the maximum and the minimum, determine the equation of the graph you selected.

3. Write the equation in vertex form.

4. Use Desmos to graph the equation to check the accuracy.

Task 2:

1. Post your equation.

2. In your post, include the following elements:

- Which one of the colored graphs the equation represents.

- The reason why you picked the graph to write the equation among the four graphs.

- The detailed process you took to come to the equation you wrote. (Explain in the way other people can follow to write the equation.)

- Why the equation can represent the graph of your choice in detail. Use what you know about the quadratics and their graphs to convince the readers that the equation actually represents the graph without having them use the graphing calculator.

Q + 5/9= 1/6 from big ideas mathbook
Alika [10]
9We have such eqation
Q+ \frac{5}{9} = \frac{1}{6}    /*9   (multiply both sides by 9)
9Q+5=\frac{9}{6}    /-5 both sides
9Q=\frac{9}{6}- 5
9Q=\frac{9}{6}- \frac{5*6}{6}
9Q=\frac{9-30}{6}
9Q=-\frac{21}{6}        /:9 divide both sides by 9
Q=-\frac{21}{6}:9

(6 to the power of 3 times 3 to the power of 3) to the power of 2
frosja888 [35]

Answer:

True

Step-by-step explanation:

(6³ * 3³)² = 18⁶

Multiply inside the parenthesis.

(18³)² = 18⁶

When you put powers to powers, they multiply, eg:

(x³)⁴ = x³°⁴ = x¹²

18⁶ = 18⁶

True.

In Hillsboro's wig shop, 1/2 of the wigs are blonde and 1/12 of the wigs are brunette. What fraction of the wigs are either blon
ella [17]

Answer:

7/12

Step-by-step explanation:

So, the probability of picking up a blonde wig = 1/2

The probabiliy of picking up a brunette wig = 1/12

The question asks to find th eprobability of picking up either of these types of wigs =

1/2 + 1/12

= 6/12 + 1/12 ( LCM of 12 and 1 is 12 )

= 7/12

Hope this helps
