if the client is a danger to themselves or another person (threatening su!c!ide, Murd$er, etc.) or if it is in the best interest of the client for any reasons. some examples are if someone told their therapist they would Sh00t themselves or someone else. Another example is if someone said they would k!ll someone else or themselves. in those cases they are a potentially serious threat to themselves or someone else so it becomes a public safety matter and telling someone who can help is incredibly important.
