Step-by-step explanation:

let the number of cookies sold on first week be=x

let the number of cookies sold on second week be= x+4

let the number of cookies sold on third week be= (x+4)×2

total number of cookies sold = 351

now 351=(x)+(x+4)+(x+4)×2

351=3x+(4+4×2)

351=3x+12

3x=351-12

3x=339

x=339÷3

x=11

Cookies sold on first week=113

Cookies sold on second week= 113+4= 117

Cookies sold on third week =113+4×2 = 113+8=121

now add all the number of cookies solved for confirmation
=113+ 117+ 121= 351

Allison earned $200 the first month she worked and $250 the second month she worked. By what percent did her salary increase?
Afina-wow [57]

Answer: 25%

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question, we are informed that Allison earned $200 the first month she worked and $250 the second month she worked.

The percentage increase in her salary will be calculated as:

= Salary Increase / Old salary × 100

= (250 - 200) / 200 × 100

= 50/200 × 100

= 1/4 × 100

= 25%

The percentage increase is 25%

A mother is 30 years older than her son. Fifteen years ago the son was 1/3 of
nalin [4]

Let s be the son's age 15 yeasr ago and m the mother's age that year.

s = \dfrac{m}{3}

We also know that:

m = s+30

Plotting vallues:

s = \dfrac{m}{3}\\\\\\3s = s+30\\\\2s = 30\\\\s = 15\\\\m = 45

Remember that they were that age 15 years ago.

So their actual age is 30 and 60.
