The debatable phrase <em>"Bonifacio was right in losing his faith in the Reform Movement" </em>stemmed from the arrest of Jose Rizal in July 1982 by the Spanish authorities.

Andres Bonifacio reasoned that the government should not be brandishing reforms when it was not interested in negotiations with the Filipinos.   After the Spanish government arrested and murdered Jose Rizal for instigating the Philippines Revolution through his political writings, Bonifacio decided that the Philippines would only achieve independence through a revolution.

His resolve enabled him to found the Katipunan, based on the Masonic secret society culture.  The purpose of Katipunan was <em>to instill fear into the Spanish and their collaborators</em> during the Revolution.   Unfortunately, Andres Bonifcio's efforts were sabotaged by jealous enemies who helped the Spanish government to put his life to an end.

Thus, this phrase remains debatable because Bonifacio did not achieve his goal of liberating the Philippines but he is known today as the father of Philippines Revolution.

magine you are Elizabeth Eckford, who is pictured in the front. Describe what is happening to you and how you feel about integra
Zielflug [23.3K]

As Elizabeth Eckford, I was discriminated on my first morning of school.  I prepared what I wore the night before and then the next day I got yelled at someone who doesn’t want me to go to school. I am a victim of discrimination. The integration was not the way I expected it to be.  I felt mistreated by almost everyone and I felt very disappointed with how they stared at me.
