Can someone help me?

Mathematics

Step-by-step explanation:

a)

a whole circle represents always 360 degrees.

we see the angle J is 72 degrees. the angle K is 90 degrees.

that leaves us for M and L together :

360 - 72 - 90 = 198 degrees.

we now know that twice as many people voted for L as for M. that means the angle L is twice as big as the angle M

on other words : L = 2M

and when we now say

198 = L + M

this means

198 = 2M + M = 3M

M = 66 degrees

and L is then 2M = 2×66 = 132 degrees

b)

again, the whole circle is 360 degrees.

J covers 72 of these 360 degrees.

that is 72/360 of all voting people.

72/360 = 1/5

the total of all voting people was 15840.

so, 1/5 of 15840 is

15840/5 = 3168

that means 3168 people voted for J.

What makes a square a square <br> why isn't a rectangle?
Lilit [14]
A square is a geometrical figure that has 4 congruent sides and angles. This means all side lengths and angles are the same.

A rectangle is a geometrical figure that has 4 similar sides but are not the same length. However, a rectangle does have congruent angles. A rectangle has 2 sides that are double the other 2 sides, in which both of each (length & width) have the same measurement.

I hope this helps!

Gina is cutting construction paper into rectangles for a project. She needs to cut one rectangle that is 12 inches by 14 1/4 inc
Fittoniya [83]

Answer:

278.63 square inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Gina needs to cut two types of rectangles.

Dimensions of one rectangle is given as,

Width = 12 inches

Length = 14\frac{1}{4} = \frac{57}{4} inches

So, the area of this rectangular paper will be

Area = width × length = 12\times \frac{57}{4} = 171 inches²

Dimensions of the other rectangular paper has been given as

Width = 10\frac{1}{4} = \frac{41}{4} inches

Length = 10\frac{1}{2} = \frac{21}{2} inches

So, the area of this rectangle will be

Area = width × length = \frac{41}{4} \times \frac{21}{2} = 107.63 inches²

Thus the total area she need to cut = 171 + 107.63 = 278.63 square inches.
