Why it matters that teens are reading less 2 paragraphs

English

Answer:

Most of us spend much more time with digital media than we did a decade ago. But today’s teens have come of age with smartphones in their pockets. Compared to teens a couple of decades ago, the way they interact with traditional media like books and movies is fundamentally different.

My co-authors and I analyzed nationally representative surveys of over one million U.S. teens collected since 1976 and discovered an almost seismic shift in how teens are spending their free time.

Increasingly, books seem to be gathering dust.

It’s all about the screens

By 2016, the average 12th grader said they spent a staggering six hours a day texting, on social media, and online during their free time. And that’s just three activities; if other digital media activities were included, that estimate would surely rise.

1.Did you hane exprience on a journey by train?
Leona [35]

Answer:

Yes, I have journeyed by train a couple of times. And those times, the feeling and experiences differ. But the very first time was the most memorable, even though it was filled with anxiety, nervousness, and discomfort. It was a time of new things, being taken through a new phase of life experience. But in the end, it was also the one experience that led me to like train journeys and for that, I am appreciative of it.

Explanation:

I have traveled by train a couple of times which were not all the same. The very first time was a bit uncomfortable and even full of anxiety and nervousness. Everything was a new experience for me. And the sights were a welcome sight, more like being taken on a 'fast-paced' sightseeing tour.

But, for someone like me who loves traveling, it was a nice time. Being taken through nature, the high mountains, and the trees, away from the busy and hectic noises, everything was breathtaking. There are times we went through cities and villages, but most of the journey was through forests and mountains, and that was what made it all worth it.

One of the most prominent features of Animal Farm is the role of various animals as victim. Do you think they were willing victi
elena55 [62]

Answer:

Answered below

Explanation:

Animal Farm begins with the portrayal of the the animals as victims of neglect, abandoned in poor conditions by Mr. Jones. This led to the revolution and take over of the farm by the animals who finally attained freedom. These animals were unwilling victims at this time.

With the events unfolding after the takeover of the farm, various animals became unwilling victims to Napoleon and the other pigs. The hens who were promised their chicks, had their eggs taken away from them by the pigs. The cows had their milk stolen by the pigs. The young pigs were victimised and executed for protesting.

On the other hand, other animals like Boxer the horse, as well as the gullible sheep, could be said to be willing victims, loyal to the cause. Boxer slaved for the animal kingdom and never complained. He was sold out to the knackers. The sheep consistently sang about the good of the four legged animals even though they were being taken advantage of, by the pigs.
