Answer:

b) $10.000

Explanation:

In order to find the total preferred stock dividend we need to have the rate of the dividend, the par value of the preferred stock and the number of preferred stocks. In this question we are given the rate of the dividend of preferred stock which is 5%, we are also given the par value of the preferred stock which is $10 and we are also given the total number of preferred stock which is 20,000.

To find out how much dividend was distributed to preferred shareholders we need to use the formula

Rate of dividend*par value of stock * number of preferred shares

0.05*10*20,000= 10,000

What role does the government play in the economy's circular flow?
mamaluj [8]
Depends are we talking capitalism, or socialism.

In capitalism there is no government intervention in the Economy, no laws, nothing.

In socialism, the government controls all of the economy, Tarriffs, Hours, etc.

So the government is supposed to play the middleman to help the people, but also the businesses, as such the united states had introduced less work hours, to help increase the productivity of the workers, which did indeed work.

Answer:

B. $300,000

Explanation:

The computation of the reduction of retained earning amount is shown below:

= Number of shares of common stock × stock dividend percentage × market value

= 1,000,000 shares × 6% × $5

= $300,000

Since the dividend amount is adjusted while computing the ending balance of retained earning balance and the same is to be considered in the computation part.

= $26.

Explanation:

a) Data and Calculations:

Products                    M            N            O

Current sales mix      3             1             2

Unit sales price      $16         $11          $13

Unit variable costs   10            9            10

Unit contribution    $6          $2           $3

Contribution margin per

composite unit    $18          $2           $6

=                      ($6 * 3)   ($2 * 1)    ($3 * 2)

b) The contribution margin per composite unit is computed as the addition of the contribution margin per composite unit for each product.  Each product's contribution margin per composite unit is calculated as the contribution per unit multiplied by the sales mix for each product.
