Blood cells move throughout the body in veins and arteries, carrying oxygen to cells and carrying carbon dioxide waste away. The

lungs take in oxygen from the environment to be diffused into blood cells and exhale the carbon dioxide waste. If you stop breathing, even momentarily, the amount of oxygen in your blood will drop, your brain will quickly increase its messages to your lungs, and you will inhale, increasing the amount of oxygen in your lungs.
How is the interaction of these organ systems an example of a feedback mechanism in the human body, and how does this help your body maintain homeostasis?
