My APbio class did this a bit ago so these are fresh:

"Are you a ribosome located in the Rough ER? Because i'm bound to be with you."

This is a reference to how ribosomes in the ER are bound to it.

During the Human Genome Project, scientists created a gene map showing the relative location of each known gene on every human c
Arlecino [84]

Answer:

Approximately 20,500 genes

Explanation:

The Human Genome Project (HGP) was a 13-year international research effort aimed at determining the entire DNA sequence of the human genome. The HGP was launched in 1990 and completed in April 2013. This project helped to identify and physically map all the genes of the human genome. The sequence obtained from the HGP has been a very useful point of reference in order to identify and characterize mutations associated with genetic disorders. The HGP predicted approximately 20,500 genes (each of them produces an average of three proteins), which are distributed in the 23 pairs of chromosomes in the cells of our body.

A sample of food containing one type of a large molecule was treated with a specific digestive enzyme. Nutrient tests performed
Oxana [17]

The best answer is starch.

Starch is a type of carbohydrate.

Carbohydrates are made of simple sugars, namely glucose. A simple sugar is a single molecule of a sugar. A single sugar  molecule is called a monomer.

Starch is made of many monomers or units of glucose linked together and is thus called a polysaccharide. When it is broken down, the result is its many glucose units are separated from each other by breaking the chemical bonds that hold them together, and are thus released as simple sugars.
