The importance of communication in psychology is very clear, and as a matter of fact, your communication skills really show who you are as a person.  As a person who studies psychology, how you talk is intended to help you and aid you to effectively communicate to not just yourself, but the people around you.  Its benefits go beyond simply improving our social skills, but also our relationships.  Communication is vital to understanding our reactions, emotions, and how they build our behaviors and actions.

  • Kwame Nkrumah was becoming increasingly dictatorial
  • Ethnic tensions were becoming more widespread

As a result of these, several leading figures in the country decided to overthrow Kwame Nkrumah in 1966 in what was Ghana's first coup.

In conclusion, the coup happened because Ghana was becoming a dictatorship and ethnic tensions were brewing.
