The frog starts at positive 2 on the number line because of the double negative making it positive. And it lands on positive 8 because 2+6=8! I hope this helped!!

Mark used a number line to model dividing 2 3 by 3. He divided the number line from 0 to 1 in 3 equal sections, and then divided
Oxana [17]

Answer:

No, his answer is not correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given expression,

\frac{2}{3}\div 3

=\frac{\frac{2}{3}}{3}

=\frac{2}{3\times 3}

=\frac{2}{9}

Thus, his answer is not correct.

By model :

Draw number line from 0 to 1 in 3 equal section,

Then divided each of those sections into 3 equal parts,

We get,

\frac{2}{3}\div 3=\frac{2}{9}

Question 8
lord [1]

Answer: (9, -2)

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's start with what makes a function even. A function is even if the graph of it is symmetric about the y-axis. What is really means is that if you were to fold your graph paper where the crease is on the y-axis, the graph should be the same on each side.

Now since g is an even function, it's correct for us to assume that it is symmetric about the y-axis. What this means is that we expect to find a value at the same point, except on the right side (because our coordinate is negative).

Our coordinate is (-9, -2). If we were to plot it, we'd see it would be in the 3rd quadrant, or the bottom left one. To be symmetrical on the right side, we know there is a point with the same coords in the 4th quadrant. To be on the right, our x coordinate would be positive, and our y coordinate will stay the same.

How can I use scaling to help predict the product of a number and I fraction
Zigmanuir [339]

To start off scaling is another way of saying resizing the numbers --

Example: "1" on paper means "10" in real life   --

To predict a product of a number/fraction using scaling, you would compare the size of a product on the basis of the size of the other.

Most scaling is used in maps or something to do with rulers

I hope this helps!!

The amount of money in a savings account after t years is represented by the function f(t)=500(1.015)^t. What does the value 500
MaRussiya [10]

Answer:

Find out the what does the value 500 represent in this situation .

To prove

As given

The amount of money in a savings account after t years is represented by the function.

f(t)=500(1.015)^{t}

Exponential function for amount is given by .

Amount = a (1 + r)^{t}

Wher a is the initial value, r is the rate in decimal form and t is the time.

Compare the functions

f(t)=500(1.015)^{t}

and

Amount = a (1 + r)^{t}

Thus a = 500

Therefor $500 is the initial value .
