Answer:

During The Constitutional Convention, James Madison suggested to have three branches. The legislative branch, the Congress, would make laws. The executive branch would carry out the laws. A judicial branch would settle legal arguments. This set up a system of checks and balances where all three branches had a distribution of power so that nothing could become more powerful than them. They were under the Virginia Plan, which provided for a national government for them.

laiz [17]

The renowned Greek general Pericles was the one that made the speech that said that If we took to the laws they afford equal justice to all in their private differences.

What is the meaning of this speech?

This is the speech that tells us that the law is supposed to have the same opportunities for all persons. That is no one had to be treated in a different manner by the law.

From the speech that this was given was the funeral oration that was given for the soldiers that fell in the Peloponnesian War. The goal of the speech was to persuade the people that were listening to him.

In the speech he had tp praise Athens as a way of helping to encourage them so that they would have to continue fighting in this war.

vagabundo [1.1K]

Answer:

A grand jury might not indict, but the prosecutor may still bring the defendant to trial if she has a strong enough case. Without a grand jury indictment, the prosecutor has to demonstrate to the trial that she has enough evidence t continue the case.
