  • A) 4.500.000.000 = 45 x 100.000.000
  • 100.000.000 = 10^8
  • 4.500.000 = 45 x 10^8

  • B) 9.3 x 10^8 = X
  • 100.000.000 = 10^8
  • 9.3 x 100.000.000 = X
  • 930.000.000 = X

  • C) Tierra = 150.000.000
  • Neptuno = 4.500.000.000
  • 150 = 1
  • 4.500 = X
  • 4500 / 150 = X
  • 30 = X

Find two numbers whose product is 80 and whose sum is 18
Amanda [17]

Let X & Y be the two integers

X+Y=18      Y = 18-X

XY = 80

We can substitute 18-X for Y in the equation XY = 80

X(18-X) = 80

Distributing

18X - X2 = 80

Subtract 80 from both sides so that the equation is equal to 0

-X2 + 18X - 80 = 0

Multiply (or divide by -1 so that the leading coefficient is positive, not negative)

X2 - 18X + 80 = 0

We can factor this quadratic

(X-10)(X-8) = 0

Setting each factor equal to 0 we can solve for X.

X-10 = 0       X-8 = 0

X = 10          X = 8

The two integers are 8 and 10.Answer:

11 because 30 - 6.5 equals 23.5 and if she can use all 23.5$ on tomato’s you divide by 2 and it equals 11.75. But she can’t go over 30 so you round it down to 11 pounds

F (x)= x +4 over 6 solve for f^- (7)
tatuchka [14]

Answer:

f(x)=7x−4 f ( x ) = 7 x - 4. Replace f(x) f ( x ) with y y . y=7x−4 y = 7 x - 4. Interchange the variables. x=7y−4 x = 7 y - 4. Solve for y y .
