For the first day we have the following function:
 f (n) = (0.3 * 10) n + 8
 For the second day we have the following function:
 f (n) = (0.4 * 10) n + 5
 You spent the same amount of money as the day before:
 (0.3 * 10) n + 8 = (0.4 * 10) n + 5
 3n + 8 = 4n + 5
 n = 8-5
 n = 3 items
 We evaluate each function for n = 3
 f (3) = (0.3 * 10) * 3 + 8 = 17 $
 f (3) = (0.4 * 10) * 3 + 5 = 17 $
 The total amount of money is:
 17 + 17 = 34 $
 Answer:

you purchase 6 items

you spend at the craft store during the sale $ 34

Can you please explain?
Elina [12.6K]
Okay, so what you need to figure out is that how many years in between 21 1/4 and 37 there are based on the amount the tree grows a year. So, 1 3/4 times 9 is 15.75, and this added to 21 1/4 is 37. This means that it will take the tree 9 years to grow from 21 1/4 ft to 37 ft.

The combined perimeter of the rectangle and triangle is 63 inches. The model shows the dimensions of the rectangle. What is the
katrin2010 [14]

*See diagram in the attachment

Answer:

27 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Combined perimeter = perimeter of rectangle + perimeter of triangle = 63 inches

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(L + W)

L = 11 in.

W = 7 in.

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(11 + 7) = 36 in.

Let perimeter of the triangle be represented by x

Therefore:

36 + x = 63

Subtract 36 from each side

x = 63 - 36

x = 27

Perimeter of triangle = 27 inches
