The widths and depths are the same. Since volume is length x width x height, you get 2x2x4=16, 3x3x6=54, 4x4x8=128, 5x5x10=250

Answer:

Given is :

One company makes inflatable swimming pools that come in four sizes of rectangular prisms.

The depth of the pools are each a whole number from 2 to 5 feet. This means 2,3,4 and 5.

Now, the length of each pool is twice the width and twice the depth .

The equation to find out the volume in this case is :

V=x \times x\times 2x =2x^{3}

So, when x = 2 feet, the length is 4 feet.

Volume is 2\times2\times4=16 cubic feet

When x = 3 , the length is 6

Volume is 3\times3\times6=54 cubic feet

When x = 4 , the length is 8

Volume is 4\times4\times8=128 cubic feet

When x = 5 , the length is 10

Volume is 5\times5\times10=250 cubic feet

Jack spends 1 1/2 times as long on his homework as Jill.
Minchanka [31]

Answer:

12 3/4 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

Jack spends 1 1/2 times as long on his homework as Jill .

Jill spends 8 1/2 in doing his home work .

Time spent by jack in doing his homework is jacks time multiplied by Jill’s

That’s

1 1/2 x 8 1/2

Change to improper fractions.

We have,

3/2 x 17/2

Multiply through

51/4 = 12 3/4

Jack spends 12 3/4 hours in doing his homework

Your 6 1/4 year investment of $40,000 at 14% compounded quarterly is worth how much now?
KengaRu [80]
The formula to be used here is:

F = P(1+i)ⁿ
where
P = 40000
n = 6 1/4 years

Let's find i first which has to be converted to compounded annually.

i = (1 + r/m)^m - 1
where m = 4 because there are 4 quarters in 1 yr; and r is the given 0.14.
i = (1 + 0.14/4)⁴ - 1 = 0.1475

Thus,
F = (40000)(1+0.1475)^(6 1/4)
F = $94,517.96
