Women working - women mainly worked when their husbands were away at war but after a certain time period they began working in factories once they got the freedoms to do so. This was sort of the beginning of the traditional household being broken and women taking a stand.

Dangerous conditions - riots + protests happened (like the Carnegie situation) and other buildings were burned down because workers wanted better pay and safer working conditions. Militia was even brought in to stop these people. Working foundations were founded due to this that protected workers and their health.
