What feature of the noun in *a new furniture makes it ungrammatical? (a) non-animate (b) non-classifier (c) non-cognitive (d) no
r-ruslan [8.4K]

Answer:

The feature of the noun in "a new furniture" that makes it ungrammatical is the following one:

(d) non-countable.

Explanation:

"Furniture" is an uncountable noun, and as so it cannot be preceded by the indefinite article "a". The same goes for other uncountable nouns, such as "information", "bread", "water", and "homework". If we were talking about specific pieces of furniture, such as "wardrobe", "table", and "shelf", it would have been correct to use "a", since those nouns are countable. However, the same is not true for "furniture", which is an uncountable noun that expresses a whole, not a part.

Write a manifesto as a dining hall prefect

LUCKY_DIMON [66]

Answer:

My name is Anthony Chen, and this is my manifesto as a dining hall prefect.

First of all, I have a three-point agenda to sanitize the dining hall, thus making it more conducive for students. The three points are:

1. Ensuring high quality meals are served in the dining areas

2. Making sure the dining hall is clean at all times. (There will be punishment for defaulters.)

3. Ensuring meals are eaten in peace and love.

It is important that not only healthy foods are served in the dining hall, but also that no essential nutrient is lacking at any given time.

Also equally important is ensuring cleanliness at all times because a dirty place breeds germs faster.

Finally, as the Holy Bible says, "better a meal eaten in love, than a banquet where there is strife". There shall always be peace and love among students.

Write a complete paragraph about a topic of your choice.

Will mark BRAINLIEST!!
Lapatulllka [165]

Here's a write-up on the topic: 'A Day When Everything Went Wrong'.

Explanation:

I woke up that morning, wondering why my alarm hadn't gone off. Just as I was lying in bed, my room looked brighter than usual - I glanced at the watch on my bedside table and it showed 8:30 am, a whole 90 minutes later than when I generally wake up! That meant I had barely 20 minutes to get ready and reach class.

Being late meant quickly washing my face and no breakfast. Once I reached class (hungry, disheveled and ten minutes late), the professor refused to let me in. That was like the icing on the cake. I sat morosely on the steps outside the classroom, waiting for the bell to signal the beginning of the next period, which was the chemistry lab (my favourite). Lo and behold, I opened my bag only to realize I had forgotten to pack my lab coat for the day! That would mean I would be denied entry to the lab too.

I trudged back home, feeling awful. Just as I was about to enter my gate, I tripped on an uneven stone lying on the pavement - and fell flat on my face. That was literally the last straw. Bleeding a little on my forehead, I entered my room and slammed the door, grumbling about the extremely horrid day that I had had and wondering what else was lying in store for me.
