Here is your answer

Money saved on each successive day is-

$3, &5, $7....

Clearly it forms an AP,

where

a1= 3

common difference, d= 2

n=20

So,

using formula

Tn= a1+(n-1)d

T20= 3+(20-1)2

= 3+ 19×2

= 3+ 38

=41

So, money saved on August 20= $41

Sum of money saved upto August 20 =
n/2 (a1+T20)
= 20/2 (3+41)
= 10× 44
= $440

Identify all number sets to which the square root of 25 belongs to.
const2013 [10]

Answer:

SOLUTION: Explain why the square root of 25 belongs to 4 subsets of the real numbers , but the square root of 5 only belongs to 1 . tell which subsets each belong to and why .

Step-by-step explanation:

The square root of 25 is 5, which

1. A rational number, since 5 is the ratio of the two integers 5 and 1.

2. An integer since 5 is an element of {...,-3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3,.}

3. A whole number, since 5 is an element of {0,1,2,3.}

4. A counting number, since 5 is an element of {1,2,3,}

The square root of 5 is only

1. An irrational number, since it is not the ratio of any two integers.

Solve a) 2(x+3)=x-4 b) 4(5x-2)=2(9x+3)
Nat2105 [25]

Answer:

a) -10 b) 7

Step-by-step explanation:

a) 2(x+ 3) = x - 4

2x + 6 = x - 4

2x - x = -6 - 4

x = -10

b) 4(5x - 2) = 2(9x + 3)

20x - 8 = 18x + 6

20x - 18x = 6 + 8

2x = 14

x = 14/2

x = 7

Corey is out on the roads doing a long run, and also doing some mental calculations at the same time. corey's pace is 3 strides
amm1812
A. 352 seconds or 5 minutes 52 seconds.
B. 320 seconds or 5 minutes and 20 seconds
C. 27687 steps
There are 5280 feet per mile. In A, 3 strides per second at 5 feet gives us 15 ft per second. 5280/15 = 352 seconds. In B, 3 strides per second at 5.5 feet gives us 16.5 feet per second. 5280/16.5 = 320 seconds. In C, we calculate the total feet to divide by 5 per step. multiply 26 miles by 5280 to get feet per mile and multiply 385 by 3 to get the feet per yard. Add them together. then divide by 5. 26(5280) + 385(3) =138435. 138435/5 = 27687 steps
