Fundamental attribution error is the tendency to link an actions to someone's character or personality because of their behavior to external situational factors outside of their control.

The assessment of individuals on certain event does varies because of their tendency to link various actions to the scenario.

A very good example of Fundamental attribution error is when an observer assumes that parents who provided poor models of social responsibility does contributes to unemployment of people.
