The phrase <em>"extremes are the </em><em>nemesis of habitability</em><em>" </em>as it refers to life space means that when things are not done in moderation, there tends to be danger for everyone in the habitat.

Habitation refers to a place where a group of people or organisms live.

As a result of this, we can see, when things are taken to extremes, such as when organisms struggle for food and other basic necessities, there will be a meltdown which can lead to the extinction of that specie in that particular habitat.

With this in mind, it is vital to keep things in moderation so that the organisms or people who live in that habitat can survive.

Calculate the amount of energy that is absorbed by 75 g.. water
Contact [7]

Answer:

Q = 1147.5 cal

Explanation:

Given data:

Energy absorbed = ?

Mass of water = 75 g

Initial temperature = 22.5°C

Final temperature = 37.8°C

Specific heat of water = 1 cal/g.°C

Solution:

Formula:

Q = m.c. ΔT

Q = amount of heat absorbed or released

m = mass of given substance

c = specific heat capacity of substance

ΔT = change in temperature

ΔT  = T2- T1

ΔT  = 37.8°C - 22.5°C

ΔT  = 15.3 °C

Q = m.c. ΔT

Q = 75 g . 1 cal/g.°C . 15.3 °C

Q = 1147.5 cal

A chemist makes 620 mL of barium chloride working solution by adding distilled water to180mL of a 1.39mol/L stock solution of ba
Svetllana [295]

Answer:

0.404 mol / L

Explanation:

The <em>total moles of barium chloride</em> can be calculated from <em>the volume and concentration of the stock solution</em>:

1.39 mol/L * 0.180 L = 0.2502 moles barium chloride

Now we <u>calculate the concentration of the working solution, by dividing the total moles by the final volume</u>:

0.2502 mol / 0.620 L = 0.404 mol / L
