Answer:

3, -8

(x is equal to 3 and y is equal to -8)

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>The system:</u>

{ 7x=-67-11y

{ 5x=-73-11y

<u>Finding a value for x:</u>

7x=-67-11y -> x = -\frac{67}{7} - \frac{11y}{7}

<u>Solving for y by plugging in our x:</u>

[Equation] 5x = -73 -11y

[Plug-in] 5(-\frac{67}{7} - \frac{11y}{7}) = -73 -11y

[Distribute the 5] -\frac{335}{7} - \frac{55y}{7} = -73 -11y

[Multiply by 7] 7 (-\frac{335}{7} - \frac{55y}{7}) = (-73 -11y) 7

[Simplify] -335 - 55y = -511 - 77y

[Add 335 and 77y to both sides] 22y = -176

[Divide by 22] y = -8

<u>Plug in our y to solve for x:</u>

5x = -73 -11y

5x = -73 -11(-8)

5x = -73 + 88

5x = 15

x = 3

I'm pretty sure its the first answer because you put the 3x on the other side making it neg. and then you bring the neg. to the other side making the 3x positive and the 2 a neg.

How do you find the limit of (2+x)^3 -8/x as the limit approaches 0? Please explain how you did it.
RoseWind [281]

Answer:  12

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

Expand (2 + x)³, factor out the x, then replace x with zero.

(x+2)^3 = (x+2)(x+2)(x+2)\\.\qquad \quad =(x+2)(x^2+4x+4)\\.\qquad \quad =x(x^2+4x+4)+2(x^2+4x+4)\\.\qquad \quad =x^3+4x^2+4x\quad +2x^x+8x+8\\.\qquad \quad =x^3+(4x^2+2x^2)+(4x+8x)+8\\.\qquad \quad =x^3+6x^2+12x+8

\dfrac{(x+2)^3-8}{x}=\dfrac{(x^3+6x^2+12x+8)-8}{x}=\dfrac{x^3+6x^2+12x}{x}\\\\\\=\dfrac{x(x^2+6x+12)}{x}=x^2+6x+12\\\\\\ \lim_{x \to 0} \quad x^2+6x+12\quad =\quad 0+0+12\quad =\quad \large\boxed{12}

V-10=-3 solve the equation
Evgesh-ka [11]

Answer:

v =7

Step-by-step explanation:

Simplifying

v + -10 = -3

Reorder the terms:

-10 + v = -3

Solving

-10 + v = -3

Solving for variable 'v'.

Move all terms containing v to the left, all other terms to the right.

Add '10' to each side of the equation.

-10 + 10 + v = -3 + 10

Combine like terms: -10 + 10 = 0

0 + v = -3 + 10

v = -3 + 10

Combine like terms: -3 + 10 = 7

v = 7

Simplifying

v = 7

I need the answer to 7 please
bija089 [108]

7. a

Given,

Diameter = 16 feet

So, radius = 16 feet/2 = 8 feet

Circumference = 2πr

So, circumference of this circle

= 2πr

= 2 × 3.14 × 8 feet

= 3.14 × 16 feet

= 50.24 feet

b.

Given,

Diameter = 16 feet

So, radius = 16 feet/2 = 8 feet

Area = πr²

So, area of this circle

= 3.14 × (8 feet)²

= 3.14 × 64 feet²

= 200.96 feet²
