Dave, Frida, Natalie, and Robbie have four adjacent seats at a baseball park. They randomly chose an order to sit in. Make a lis
Novosadov [1.4K]
The sample space (list of outcomes) is:
DFNR; DFRN; DRFN; DRNF; DNFR; DNRF;
NFDR; NFRD; NRFD; NRDF; NDRF; NDFR;
RFDN; RFND; RNFD; RNDF; RDFN; RDNF;
FRDN; FRND; FNRD; FNDR; FDRN; FDNR

P(Dave beside Natalie) = 1/2
P(B,G,B,G or G,B,G,B) = 1/3
P(boys in the middle) = 1/6
P(Frida beside Natalie) = 1/2
P(Robbie between Frida & Natalie) = 1/6
P(Natalie between Dave & Robbie) = 1/6

Explanation
Letting D=Dave, R=Robbie, N=Natalie, and F=Frida you get the list of possibilites above.

For P(Dave beside Natalie), look for DN or ND.  This appears 12 times out of the 24 possibilities above; 12/24 = 1/2.

For P(B,G,B,G or G,B,G,B), we have the possibilities DFRN, DNRF, RFDN, RNDF, FRND, FDNR, NDFR, NRFD.  There are 8 possibilites out of 24; 8/24 = 1/3.

For P(Frida beside Natalie), look for NF or FN.  This appears 12 times out of the 24 possibilities; 12/24 = 1/2.

For Robbie between Frida and Natalie, look for FRN or NRF.  This appears 4 times out of 24; 4/24 = 1/6.

For Natalie between Robbie and Dave, look for RND or DNR.  This appears 4 times out of 24; 4/24 = 1/6.

Find the area of the given figure.<br> show your work please!
ICE Princess25 [194]

Answer:

30.3m^2

Step-by-step explanation:

I started off by finding the area of the semi circle. The formula πr^2 divided by 2. The radius of the circle is 2 because it is half of the diameter which is 4. So π(2)^2 divided by 2 is 6.3.

Next I broke apart the the shape into a rectangle and a triangle for simplicity sake.  So doing this I had to know where to cut and if you look at the top of the figure it shows 2m for the length at the top. So I put a vertical line there. Thus changing the 10m on the bottom to a 8m section and a 2m section. So the rectangle's area will be the length times the height which is 2x4=8.

The triangle's area can be found with the equation BH/2 and we the 8 base we found and a height of 4 it is 8x4/2. Which ends up as 16.

Finally you add up all three area's that you found 8+16+6.3=30.3

natulia [17]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Neither of them has partitioned the values correctly. The answer to the sum 3568 × 39610 =141 328 480.

They tried the partition method but did not partitioned it correctly.

3568 = 3000+500+60+8

39610 = 30000+9000+600+10

Now multiply each value of 3568 with the values of 39610. Like:

3000 * 30000

3000 * 9000

3000 * 600

3000 * 8

and so on....
