What effect would a latitude of 60 degrees have on the climate

Chemistry

The poles are located at the 90 degrees. The poles are extremely cold environments. If you think about how relatively close to the pole 60 degrees would be, you can assume it would be cold but not as extreme. So short summer, cold winters seems to be the most accurate.

You can also see in a map (attached) where the 60 degrees parallel actually is, and you can see what the climate tends to be in those areas.

If you have 35 ml of gas in a closed container under 1.23 atm of pressure, what will the volume be if the pressure increased to
Over [174]

Answer:

New volume is 14.35 mL

Explanation:

When a system of a gas keeps on constant its temperature and number of moles, the pressure is modified indirectly proportional to the volume:

Pressure increased → Volume decreased

Pressure decreased → Volume increased.

The relation you have to apply is: P₁ . V₁ = P₂. V₂

1.23 atm . 35 mL = 3 atm . V₂

(1.23 atm . 35 mL / 3 atm)  = V₂

V₂ = 14.35 mL

which are correct formulas for ionic compounds? for those that are not correct, give the correct formula and justify your answer
galina1969 [7]

Answer:

a. AlCl is incorrect because Al has a +3 charge while Cl only has a -1 charge. The correct formula would be AlCl₃. This balances the charges.

b. Na₃SO₄ is incorrect because Na has a charge of +1 and there are three of them so its +3 and SO₄ has a charge of -2. The correct formula would be Na₂SO₄. This balances the charges.

c. BaOH₂ is incorrect because the polyatomic ion OH would not be written that way. It would be written like this Ba(OH)₂. Writing it like BaOH₂ gives the impression that instead of having 2 OH it has 2 H and 1 O.

d. Fe₂O is incorrect because Fe either has a +2 charge or +3 charge while O has a -2 charge. Possible correct answers could be FeO (iron (II) oxide) or Fe₂O₃ (iron (III) oxide).
