If you think about it, every acheivement, every battle, and every war was created by the geography of where it took place. different empires flourished because of their surrounding resources and different battles were won because of the placement advantages of whether the side had the higher or lower ground. The way the earth is shaped helped create numerous inventions like wheels or the compass because we wanted to explore and make things easier for ourselves. Thats why geo and history are connected.
