Sue's mom, Mrs. Delley, is designing a plan for a new city that will be built on land not settled before in a western state. Sue
pashok25 [27]

Although this is a personal task that only you can complete, we are able to provide an example of what this letter would look like:

Dear city council,

I have recently heard of the plans that the government has proposed in order to develop this new city. I believe that the plans are sound, but that they do not properly take into account the principles of zoning. I would like to share my knowledge in this subject in order to contribute to this task.

There are three main categories of zoning in a city that need to be taken into account: commercial, residential and manufacturing. Commercial deals with the location of stores and businesses. I believe that these should be mostly concentrated in the center of the city. As the city will not be very large, this will give easy access to amenities to all residents. Moreover, by having all the stores close to each other, we will make shopping easier and more enjoyable.

When it comes to residential, I would suggest that most residential areas should surround this commercial area. This will allow all houses to easily access the center. It will also give us enough room to have residential areas while maintaining much of the natural beauty of the area.

Finally, industries and manufacturing, which constitute manufacturing, should be located outside of all these areas. This is important in order to ensure that the industrial look associated with them is not present in the city, along with the noise and pollution that comes with them.

I hope that this advice is useful and that you consider it in your analysis.

Best,

Sue

As he slowly gets up to investigate, his heart begins to race, his mouth is dry, and he begins to sweat; his "sympathetic nervous system" has been activated.

The sympathetic nervous system (SNS) is a piece of the autonomic nervous system (ANS), which likewise incorporates the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS).

The sympathetic nervous system ordinarily capacities to create restricted alterations, (for example, perspiring as a reaction to an expansion in temperature) and reflex modifications of the cardiovascular framework. Under states of pressure, be that as it may, the whole thoughtful sensory system is enacted, delivering a prompt, boundless reaction called the fight or-flight reaction.

Summary

Drug misuse, abuse, and addiction can all lead to both short-term and long-term health effects.

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders fourth edition (DMS-4) definesTrusted Source drug abuse as “a maladaptive pattern of substance use leading to clinically significant impairment or distress.”

The effects of drug abuse depend on the type of drug, any other substances that a person is using, and their health history.

In this article, we discuss the impact of drug abuse and explain how to treat drug addiction.

Short-term effects

Group therapy may help a person who is in recovery for drug abuse.

Drugs are chemical compounds that affect the mind and body. The exact effects vary among individuals and also depend on the drug, dosage, and delivery method.

Using any drug, even in moderation or according to a medical prescription, can have short-term effects.

For instance, consuming one or two servings of alcohol can lead to mild intoxication. A person may feel relaxed, uninhibited, or sleepy.
