Answer:

y = 3/2x + 2

Step-by-step explanation:

first things first write the equation is y = mb+b form which would be 2y  = 3x + 14 then divide everything by 2 to get y by itsself --> 3/2x + 7  for an equation to be paralle the equation needs the same slope which is -6 so 3/2(-6) = -9 so the next equation would also start with 3/2x,  so you would then do this:

-11 = -9 + b (y = mx+b)

b = -9 + 11 --> b = 2

so the equation is

y = 3/2x + 2

What are the coordinates of the vertex of the parabola described by the equation below? y = -7(x - 4)2 - 5
pochemuha
To get the vertex of the parabola we proceed as follows;
y=-7(x-4)^2-5
The above can be written as:
y=-7x^2+56x-117
The values of a,b and c are:
a=-7, b=56 and c=-117
x=-b/(2a)
x=-56/(-7*2)=4
but;
y=-7x^2+56x-117
y=-7(4)^2+56(4)-117
y=-5
Thus;
x=4 and y=-5
The vertex will be at point (4,-5)

if an external point of a circle is at a distance equal to the diameter of the circle from the center of the circle, the length
jeka57 [31]

Let the radius of the circle be r. Then the line from the external point through the center of the circle which extends to the far point on the circle has length 3r .By the tangent - secant theorem

t^2 = 3r * r = 3r^2 ( where t is the length of the tangent).

So t = √(3r^2) = √3r answer.
