Jenny received a $30.50 gift card for a photo center. She used it to buy prints that cost 20 cents each. The remaining balance,

B (in dollars), on the card after buying x prints is given by the following.
b=−30.50-0.20x
What is the remaining balance on the card if Jenny bought 30 prints?

The remaining balance on the card is  $24.50.

The balance on the card after buying the prints is the value of the gift card less the total cost of the prints

Balance = value of the gift card - total cost of the prints

Total cost of the prints = cost per print x number of prints bought

0.20 x 30 = $6

Balance = $30.50 - $6 = $24.50

Answer:

The one you are on, f(x+2)+4

Step-by-step explanation:

First, we can see by the 0 point that it is just moved up by 4 and not left or right any, so we want to see how it has changed without the +4.

in g(x) the x changes by two, 0 to 2, and the y changes by one, 4 to 5.

Hopefully you can tell what the function being manipulated is.  It is x^3  so if we write that instead of f(x) in the answers the first one for instance would be (x/3)^3-4.  (let me know if that doesn't make sense)

SInce we already know it's being moved up by 4, we know it's one of those with +4 at the end.  It's easy enough to guess and check, but the process to find the answer is pretty easy.  We also know that at 2, the change is 1.  So without the +4 at the end, what would let us change 8 to 1?  dividing it by 8, which is also 2^3.  so that means (2/2)^3.  So the answer is we want f(x/2) witht he +4 at the end.

Hopefully that made sense, I'd be happy to explain further if you need though

Answer:

EF=3.6

Step-by-step explanation:

I'm going to use Pythagorean Theorem for side EF.

4.8^2+EF^2=6^2

23.04+EF^2=36

-23.04 -23.04

EF^2=12.96

sqrt sqrt

EF=3.6

Given an arithmetic sequence in the table below, create the explicit formula and list any restrictions to the domain.
djyliett [7]
An=a1+d(n-1)
an=nth term
a1=first term, when n=1
d=common differnce=amount each term increases by
n=which one

so
when n=1, an=40
so a1=40
it seems to increas by 7 each time

an=40+7(n-1)
explicit formula is expanded
an=40+7n-7
an=33+7n is the formula

the domain is natural numbers because you can't have the -3rd term or the 0th term or the 3.24th term

domain is natural numbers
the formula is a_n=33+7n or a_n=7n+33
