Answer:

kinda

Explanation:

Cell phones can be positive and negative, there are times when children will overuse their phones and become addicted to it. Social media and sketchy websites can also lead to bad gateways. Some positives about this are when they are in jeopardy they have a way to quickly call 911 or a number they can trust, as for the bad things there are child protection apps that set limits and block sites so that some of these problems come out. Hope this helps

If a particle moving in a circular path of radius 5 m has a velocity function v = 4t2 m/s, what is the magnitude of its total ac
rjkz [21]

Answer:

8.62m/s²

Explanation:

the particle is experiencing both translational and circular motion

v=4t²

a_{t}=\frac{dv}{dt}=8t

at t=1s, \frac{dv}{dt}=8(1)=8m/s²

a_{c} = \frac{v^{2} }{r}

at t=1, v= 4(1)² = 4m/s

a_{c}=4²/5

a_{c}=3.2m/s²

∴ magnitude of total acceleration, a

a=\sqrt{a_{t} ^{2} + a_{c} {2} }

a=\sqrt{8^{2} +3.2^{2}  }

a=\sqrt{64+10.24}

a=\sqrt{74.24}

a=8.62m/s²

The maximum gage pressure is known to be 10 MPa in a spherical steel pressure vessel having a 200 mm outer diameter and a(n) 2 m
VikaD [51]

Answer:

factor of safety = 0.8

Explanation:

given data

maximum gauge pressure in steel p = 10 MPa

outer diameter do = 200  mm

wall thickness t = 2 mm

ultimate stress of the steel σU = 400 MPa

solution

We check the type of shell that is

\frac{t}{do} =\frac{6}{200}

so we can see that that is

so that it mean vessel is a thin shell now we can we get maximum pressure by the maximum tensile stress is

σ = \frac{p\times do}{2t}     .......................1

put here value and we get

σ =  \frac{10\times 200}{2\times 2}

σ =  500 MPa

so factor of safety will be express as

factor of safety = \frac{\sigma U}{\sigma}     ..........2

factor of safety = \frac{400}{500}

factor of safety = 0.8

A force of 50N acts on a roller of mass 15 kg initially at rest on a frictionless surface. The roller travels 12 m while the for
kenny6666 [7]

Answer: 600 J

Explanation:

By definition, the work is the process due to which an applied force causes a mass to move, and can be calculated as the product of the component of the force applied along the direction of the movement, times the distance traveled.

In this case, is W= F*d= 50 N*12 m= 600 J

It can be showed, that the work done on the mass (in absence of friction ) is equal to the change in the kinetic  energy of the mass.

If the roller is initially at rest, this means the following:

ΔK= 1/2 m * vf²

Now, applying Newton's 2nd Law, F=m*a ⇒ a= F/m= 3.33 m/s²

If vo=0, we can write the following:

vf²=2*a*x= 2*3.33 m/s²*12m=79.98 m²/s²

Replacing in ΔK, we obtain

ΔK= 1/2*15 kg* 79.98 m²/s²≈ 600 J
