Given that:

1/(√7 - 2)

The denominator is (√7-2).

We know

The rationalising factor of (√a-b) is (√a+b)

Therefore, the rationalising factor of √7-2 is √7+2.

On rationalising the denominator them

⇛[1/(√7-2)]×[(√7+2)/(√7+2)]

⇛[1(√7+2)]/[(√7-2)(√7+2)]

Since, (a-b)(a+b) = a²-b²

Where, a = √7 and b = √2.

⇛[1(√7+2)]/[(√7)²-(2)²]

⇛[1(√7+2)]/[(√7*7)-(2*2)]

⇛[1(√7+2)]/[7-4]

⇛[1(√7+2)]/3

⇛(√7+2)/3

Hence, the denominator is rationalised.

What is four and five eighths as a improper fraction and a mixed number
Afina-wow [57]
4 5/8 as an improper fraction is 37/8
——> 8*4=32 32+5=37
As a mixed number it is the same I think. 5 can’t decide into 8 so it stays 4 5/8.

Hopefully this helps...

An observer took a time-exposure photograph of polaris and five nearby stars. how many hours were required to show their star pa
olga55 [171]
Photographing stars requires you to keep your exposure open for a long time. Taking pictures of star trails would take about 30 minutes to three hours. If you multiply that for the 6 stars stated above in the problem then you would be needing that much time if the stars were close and approximately 3 to 18 hours capture their star trails if they were far apart from each other.
