4. C)If two figures are congruent, then they are similar.
If they are congruent them shape and size are the same and hence they are similar

5. Ratio 4/3 smaller side is 21
Multiply to find large side
4/3×21= 28ft D)

6. Width went from 24 to 3 in divide to get ratio
24/3 =8 now divide the length by 8 to find the postcard length
32/8= 4 in A)

8. If they are similar you need to find the ratio y reduces from 8 is similar to 6 so link those 6/8
This is your ratio you can simplify it to 3/4 now y/6 should also = 3/4
Y/6=3/4
Y=18/4= 4.5 C)

For number four, the correct answer is C) If two figures are congruent, then they are similar. Because congruent is where two angles are the exact same degrees!

For number five, the correct answer is D) 28 feet because for every three feet on the short side, there is four feet on the long side. If the short side is 21 feet it was three times SEVEN, therefore you have to multiply seven to the long side as well and you get 28 feet!

For number six, the correct answer is A) 4 in because it was 24 then it went to three, so divide those two and you get four!

For the number eight, the correct answer is B) 6 because the sides are the same, so look at the left one to find the matching sides!

For the number nine, the correct answer is C) DC because the sides are the same, so if the answer to the smaller one is the base, the bi gger one has to be the base as well, which is DC!

I hope all of these answers helped!!!

A rectangle has a perimeter of 30 inches.  Its length is one less than three times its width.  What are the length and width of
Alik [6]

Perimeter of a rectangle can be represented by 2* length + 2 * width

We can represent the width with the variable x

We can represent the length by the expression 3x-1

So, now we can make a forumla and solve

2(3x-1) + 2(x) = 30

6x-2+2x = 30

8x = 32

x = 4 is the width of the rectange.

Now we find the length

3(4)-1

11 = Length

3\dfrac{1}{3}-2\dfrac{5}{6}

Find the common denominator

LCM(3, 6) = 6

3\dfrac{1}{3}=3\dfrac{1\cdot2}{3\cdot2}=\3\dfrac{2}{6}\\\\3\dfrac{1}{3}-2\dfrac{5}{6}=3\dfrac{2}{6}-2\dfrac{5}{6}=2\dfrac{6+2}{6}-2\dfrac{5}{6}=2\dfrac{8}{6}-2\dfrac{5}{6}=(2-2)+\left(\dfrac{8}{6}-\dfrac{5}{6}\right)\\\\=\dfrac{8-5}{6}=\dfrac{3}{6}=\dfrac{3:3}{6:3}=\boxed{\dfrac{1}{2}}

6.
a. P(2 or 4) is the probability of rolling either a 2 or a 4 on the die.
P(2 or 4) is equal to P(rolling a 2) + P(rolling a 4)
1/6 + 1/6 = 2/6 = 1/3

b. P(greater than 2) is equal to P(3) + P(4) + P(5) + P(6)
1/6 + 1/6 + 1/6 + 1/6 = 4/6 = 2/3

7. The probability of getting a head is 1/2. If you toss the coin two times, there are four different possibilities. HH, TT, HT, or TH. The answer would be 1/4, you get that by multiplying 1/2 by 1/2 again.

A baker uses 34 cup of honey in one of his cakes. There are 60 calories in 18 cup of honey. How many calories are in 34 cups of
Harrizon [31]

Answer:

There are 113\frac{1}{3} calories in 34 cups of honey.

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to find the amount of calories in 34 cups of honey, we can use the given values of 60 calories in 18 cups to find the unit rate, or the amount of calories in just one cup of honey.  Unit rate is found by comparing the two amounts as a ratio (fraction) and dividing the numerator by the denominator:

\frac{60}{18} = 3\frac{1}{3} calories/cup

Since there are 3\frac{1}{3} calories per cup of honey, we can find the total calories in 34 cups by multiplying:

3\frac{1}{3} = \frac{10}{3} x \frac{34}{1} = 113\frac{1}{3}
