On a global scale, energy _______ ecosystems whereas chemical elements __________ ecosystems.
agasfer [191]

Answer:

c. flows through... are recycled in

Explanation:

In an ecosystem, energy gotten from the sun by plants  flows through the ecosystem from one trophic level to another, as the energy in is transformed from one form to another via nutrition.

On the other hand, chemical elements in the form of nutrients are recycled and made available to primary producers when decomposers in the ecosystem to break down organic matter. During decomposition, energy is released. Several nutrient recycling process have feedback mechanisms that ensures chemical elements are recycled back into the ecosystem as they are being used up by organisms.

(f) contact a local hospital and ask them the percentage of the population that is blood type o. why might the results differ?
Fudgin [204]
Contacting a local hospital and asking them the percentage of the population that has blood type O will generate different results.

The factors that we have to consider why there is differing results are:
1) location of the hospital
2) nationality of their patients
3) number of their patients

I am assuming that the population that question is referring to is the number of patients in the local hospital. The bigger the population, the smaller the effect a unit has on the whole and vice versa.

I read an article that states that 37% of the U.S. population has O+ blood type. These people are usually of Hispanic descent or some Asian descent. So, if a hospital is in a locality that has a majority of Hispanic or Asian patients, its percentage will be higher than a hospital that is located in a Caucasian-populated area.

Aside from Type O+ (most common), blood types also include: O-, A+, A-, B+, B-, AB+, and AB- (rarest blood type)

Igoryamba

Answer:

A. Repeats of "Alanine-Arginine"

B. Repeats of "Tyrosine-Isoleucine"

C. Repeats of Aspartic acid

Explanation:

A. The synthetic RNA with GC repeats would have repeats to two codons: GCG and CGC which in turn code for alanine and arginine amino acids respectively.  Hence, its polypeptide would have repeats of "Alanine-Arginine"

RNA: GCG CGC GCG CGC GCG CGC

B. The synthetic RNA with UA repeats would have repeats to two codons: UAU and AUA which in turn code for tyrosine and Isoleucine amino acids respectively.  Hence, its polypeptide would have repeats of "Tyrosine-Isoleucine"

RNA: UAU AUA UAU AUA UAU AUA

C. The synthetic RNA with GAC repeats would code for polypeptide of aspartic acid only as GAC codes for aspartic acid.
