How was the United States changed by Thomas Jefferson's
ICE Princess25 [194]

Answer:

Jefferson called his election the “revolution of 1800,” and over the next quarter century much of the world that he first envisioned in 1776 took shape: the United States was cast as an egalitarian democracy that effectively erased the social hierarchies of the colonies, and with federal land easier to purchase

Who were ronald reagan and franklin d.Roosevelt and what viewpoint did they share about the president term office
ANTONII [103]

Ronald Reagan was the U. S. president from 1981 to 1989. Franklin D. Roosevelt was also a U. S. president. He served from 1933 to his death in 1945.

Both presidents had an interest in serving for more than 8 years, the currently-accepted maximum length for a presidential term. Franklin D. Roosevelt was president four times, due to his popularity and success in restoring the economy after the Great Depression. Serving for two four-year terms had been an unwritten rule since George Washington, but it was not a law, which enabled FDR to stay in power for longer.

After his death, Amendment XXII was passed, limiting the time a president could serve to two periods of four years. However, in 1987, Reagan made public his interest to get rid of this amendment. He argued that the change would not apply to him, but to leaders from then on.

What are the differences between the types of slavery traditionally practiced in Africa and the slavery that developed in the Ne
alexandr1967 [171]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

The differences between the types of slavery traditionally practiced in Africa and the slavery that developed in the New World were basically the following.

African slaves were the by-product of the consequences of wars between African tribes. The one that won the war, conquered the territory, and forced people into slavery. The victorious tribe did no see slavery as a form of property but as a form of punishment.

Slavery in the new world was different. For white Europeans in the North American territory, slaves represented a form of property. That is what they considered when they bought slaves during the Slave Trade period. In the Americas, Africans were slaves for life and depended only on the landlord.

Other types of servitude such as European serfdom compared to slavery because it also exploited not only Africans but the Native Indians. For instance, when Spaniards conquered the American territory of what today is México, the Caribbean Islands, and South America, they instilled the Encomienda, a form of slavery, where Native Indians worked in the farm fields for long hours in exchange of housing and some food.
