C5H10O5 is nonpolar

Further explanation

Pentose is monosaccharides. It is most common types of molecules with 5 carbons such as important ribose (C5H10O5) and deoxyribose (C5H10O4). 5 – Carbon sugars is Ribose (C5H10O5). The sugars found in nucleic acids are pentose sugars. It has five carbon atoms, where the combination of a base and a sugar is called a nucleoside. Ribose, found in RNA, is a "normal" sugar, with one oxygen atom attached to each carbon atom.

The 5-carbon sugars ribose and deoxyribose are important components of nucleotides, it are found in RNA and DNA

Bonds that are partly ionic are called polar covalent bonds, while nonpolar covalent bonds with equal sharing of the bond electrons, arise when the electronegativities of the two atoms are equal.

C5H10O5 is nonpolar. In a nonpolar covalent bond the electron, the density is spread evenly between the two atoms in the bond. These bonds can be formed between two identical atoms or between different atoms. It is termed as nonpolar because the difference in electronegativity is negligible.

The nasal cavity has two functions.one is to
scZoUnD [109]

The mucosa secretes mucus. Found in the naval cavity, it contains bipolar neurons, also known as olfactory cells, which are very important for being able to have a sense of smell. The dendrites of these olfactory cells reach out of the surface of the mucosa. The axons of these cells are actually bundled together. There are about 20 of these bundled axons, and collectively they are known as the olfactory nerve or the first cranial nerve.

Anatomically, it passes through the cribriform plate found in the ethmoid bone, having synapse with the olfactory bulb, an essential neurological connection that allows the sensation of smell to work. The first cranial nerve can actually be tested by closing one nostril and holding up a smelly object to the other opened nostril to see if the sense of smell is still working. The nasal mucosa is also continuous the sinuses, which not only help warm and moisten the inhaled air, but also provide resonance to the voice and give the face more shape.
