As with any sport, preventing injuries is a very important aspect of having a healthy and positive relationship with this sport. 

Specifically, you must insure that you're receiving enough rest and time for your muscle ro recuperate from trainings (if you're training profesionally). You also must make sure that you're careful while skating and try to stay within the boundaries of your own capabilities.
