Given z_{1} =\sqrt{2}[cos(3π/4+i sin(3π/4) and z_{2}=cos (π/2) +i sin(π/2)

We have to find the value of z_{1} -z_{2}.

A complex number is a number that includes real number as well as a imaginary unit in which i^{2} =1. It looks like a+ bi.

We have to first solve z_{1} and z_{2} and then we will be able to find the difference.

z_{1} =\sqrt{2}[ cos (3π/4)+i sin (3π/4)]

=\sqrt{2}[cos(π-π/4)+ i sin (π-π/4)]

=\sqrt{2} [-cos(π/4)+sin (π/4)]

=\sqrt{2}(-1/\sqrt{2}+1/\sqrt{2})

=\sqrt{2} *0

=0

z_{2} =cos(π/2)+i sin (π/2)

=0+i*1

=1

Now putting the values of z_{1}  and z_{2},

z_{1} -z_{2} =0-1

=-1

=-1+i*0

=cos (π)+i sin(π)

Hence the value of difference between z_{1} and z_{2} is cos(π)+i sin(π).
