5) A manufacturer produces paperweights composed of two congruent triangles as shown.
Phoenix [80]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Since, both the triangles of the paperweight are congruent,

Their corresponding sides will be congruent.

3x + 2.5 = 4

3x = 4 - 2.5

x = 0.5

Similarly, 2y - 5 = 3x + y

2y - y = 3x + 5

y = 3x + 5

y = 3(0.5) + 5

y = 1.5 + 5

y = 6.5

Total length of the hypotenuse = 2y - 5

                                                    = 2(6.5) - 5

                                                    = 13 - 5

                                                    = 8

Option B is the answer.

Total length of the base = (3x + 2.5) + 4

                                        = 3x + 6.5

                                        = 3(0.5) + 6.5

                                        = 8

Option B is the answer.

Am i doing this right? Confused
aliya0001 [1]
No you aren’t but your close. You are writing how much each pan makes instead of how many time you need it to make 30. A for example makes 15 muffins, so you take the 30 muffins you need and divide it by how many muffins you can make in one pan. So 30/15 would be 2 times she’d need the pan, that’s the answer for A. B makes 6 muffins, so 30/6=5 times she’d need the pan. Understand?
