Very, very rare. Uranium used in power plants is typically only 3% U-235 (the explosive stuff), while bomb-grade uranium is nearly pure U-235. Simply, the concentration of U-235 in reactor-grade uranium is too small to start a chain reaction and detonate like a bomb.

Suppose you discovered a mutant yeast whose glycolytic pathway was shorter because of the presence of a new enzyme catalyzing th
Ganezh [65]

Answer:

The correct answer is  the formation of pyruvate from glucose willl be energetically less favorable.

Explanation:

According to the question matunt yeast has a shorter glycolytic pathay catalysing a follwing reaction

 Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate+H2O+NAD+  = 3-phosphoglycerate

So in the mutatant the formation of 1,3- bisphosphoglycerate is not occurring. The glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate is directly converted into 3-phosphoglycerate.

As a result the substrate level phosphorylation step that deals with formation of 3-phosphoglycerate from 1,3  bisphosphoglycerate is not occurring.

From this point of view it can be said that less energy will be formed in the mutant during glycolysis than that of normal one.

So the formation of pyruvate from glucose will be energetically less favorable.

I think its C... but I'm not too sure. I did some research and couldn't find exactly what you were looking for but, I found loopholes and I think since when the cell increases, the surface area does not affect cell divisions steps. Therefore, I don't think it would change any other way...

How do scientists produce new genetic variations not found in nature? by a transforming rna b using gel electrophoresis. c using
valentinak56 [21]
Scientists most often produce new genetic variations of organisms by causing mutations with radiation or chemicals and then selectively breeding in order to emphasize the desired traits in the new variations. The Dachshund is an example of this. By breeding two dogs with a similar mutation that caused student legs and elongated backs breeders were able to create a new variation not found in nature.

Scientists have genetically engineered potato plants to produce potatoes that contain edible vaccines. Which is a disadvantage o
Valentin [98]

Answer:

They are more expensive than potatoes without the vaccine.

The genetically modified crops are produced by using the scientific procedures of genetic engineering. It involves the manipulation of the genome of these crops so as to make them disease resistant, improving the quality of the edible parts and increasing the yield of the plants. The crops are genetically modified with accuracy, precision and implementation of the technology therefore, the crops produced are expensive then the crops produce by the conventional method.

Hence, they are more expensive than potatoes without the vaccine is a disadvantage of the genetically engineered potato plants to produce potatoes that contain edible vaccines.
