Answer:

i think

Explanation:

Perhaps the earliest attempt to design jobs came during the era of scientific management. Scientific management is a philosophy based on the ideas of Frederick Taylor as presented in his 1911 book, Principles of Scientific Management. Taylor’s book is among the most influential books of the 20th century; the ideas presented had a major influence over how work was organized in the following years. Taylor was a mechanical engineer in the manufacturing industry. He saw work being done haphazardly, with only workers in charge. He saw the inefficiencies inherent in employees’ production methods and argued that a manager’s job was to carefully plan the work to be performed by employees. He also believed that scientific methods could be used to increase productivity. As an example, Taylor found that instead of allowing workers to use their own shovels, as was the custom at the time, providing specially designed shovels increased productivity. Further, by providing training and specific instructions, he was able to dramatically reduce the number of laborers required to handle each job.

How does the book value of shares of stock differ from the market value of shares of stock? Use a real-world example in your ans
Ad libitum [116K]

Answer:

The book value of the stock can be calculated by taking the difference of assets and liabilities and then dividing the answer by the number of shares. The result will be the book value of a unit stock. Whereas the market value of the share is different because the stock market valuates the stock which is dependent on its assets, return, riskiness of the industry, social responsibility, etc. So these factors helps companies like S & P global, Dow's plc, etc to value stocks and publish the credit ratings of companies in stock exchange.

Explanation:

The market value of Home Depot is $243 in the stock exchange but the equity book value of is at deficit which is -$1878 millions. Dividing it by number of shares we have -29 ($1878 millions / 6,3.8 million shares). The book value of the company is negative but still the company has a great number of profits for the year and the company is worth $300 billions.

BigorU [14]

Answer:

Cantril Ladder

Explanation:

Cantril ladder approach was developed by Hadley Cantril. The approach is a method of assessing the well being of individuals. The cantril scale is represented by an imaginary ladder with steps numbered from 1 to 10 wherein each step denotes a happiness level.

For example, level one would relate to poor well being i.e the case of individual being least happy whereas level 10 would represent highest satisfaction in life and happiness.

As per the research conducted across the globe, the cantril scale of well being and happiness correlated really well with the income of the respondents indicating, that well being and happiness are directly related to an individual's income level.

Your classmates are planning to go to Miami for spring break, and you are undecided about whether you should go with them. The r
MaRussiya [10]

Answer:

You should use the discount coupon to pay for the Miami trip. Not considering the personal motivations for the trip, the coupon is worth $500. The cost of flying is $600, so you will only pay $100 yourself. You will be spending $900 + $1000 = $1,000 in total.

The opportunity cost of using the coupon is $350 (the cost of the round trip to Atlanta). Even if you add the $350 to the $1,000 expense, the total is $1,350, less than your $1,400 maximum budget.
