Answer:

87x + 73

Step-by-step explanation:

Combine like terms.  Combining the x terms yields 87x; combining the constants yields 73.  Thus, the desired expression is 87x + 73.

Answer:87x+73

Step-by-step explanation:

Distribute the Negative Sign:

=57x+79+−1(−30x+6)

=57x+79+−1(−30x)+(−1)(6)

=57x+79+30x+−6

Combine Like Terms:

=57x+79+30x+−6

=(57x+30x)+(79+−6)

=87x+73

Given |u| = 10 at ∠135° and |v| = 5 at ∠30°, what expression can be used to find |u + v|?
astraxan [27]

Answer:

B, 10^{2} + 5^{2}- 2(10)(5)cos(75)

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the law of cosines, which is c^{2}=a^{2}+b^{2}-2ab cos(C), you can simply insert all the values.

c=|u+v|

a= r value of u (10)

b= r value of v (5)

To find  C, you simply have to subtract v from u, and then subtract that number from 180 to find the reference angle.

I.E.: ∠135 - ∠30 = ∠105 ↔ 180 - 105 = 75 =  C

so, the completed equation would be 10^{2} + 5^{2}- 2(10)(5)cos(75)

Please help me with my math ty
Alja [10]
Hello!

You can use the Pythagorean Theorem to solve this

a^{2} + b^{2} = c^{2}

c is the hypotenuse which is the side across the right angle
a and b are the other sides

Put in the values you know

9^{2} + 12^{2} = c^{2}

Square the numbers

81 + 144 =  c^{2}

Add

225 =  c^{2}

Take the square root of both sides

15 = c

The answer is 15

Hope this helps!
