You can take apart the word ‘perpendicular bisector’:

Perpendicular means at a right angle to the line.

So you would find the gradient of your line segment, assuming you were given two points along the line. Then find the negative reciprocal of this gradient to get your new gradient.

Bisector means cut in half.

So you find the midpoint of your line segment.

Now, substitute the midpoint coordinate and your new gradient into the equation of a straight line.

Hope this helps :D

Suppose you invest $1400 at interest rate of 4.3% compounded continuously. How much will you have in the account after 7 years?
STatiana [176]

\bf ~~~~~~ \textit{Continuously Compounding Interest Earned Amount} \\\\ A=Pe^{rt}\qquad \begin{cases} A=\textit{accumulated amount}\\ P=\textit{original amount deposited}\dotfill & \$1400\\ r=rate\to 4.3\%\to \frac{4.3}{100}\dotfill &0.043\\ t=years\dotfill &7 \end{cases} \\\\\\ A=1400e^{0.043\cdot 7}\implies A=1400e^{0.301}\implies A\approx 1891.69\implies \stackrel{\textit{rounded up}}{A=1892}

Find the least number which when divisible by 20, 24, 32 and 38 leaves a remainder 5 in cach case
Olegator [25]

Answer:

18245

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to use L.C.M,

L.C.M(20,24,32,38)

2|20,24,32,38

2| 10 ,12 ,16 ,19

2| 5 , 6 , 8 , 19

2| 5 , 3 , 4 , 19

2| 5 , 3 , 2 , 19

L.C.M = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 5 x 3 x 19

          = 18240

Now for each case remainder is 5,

So the number is 18240+5

=> 18245
