Answer:

James D. Watson

Explanation: In 1953, Francis Crick and James Watson first described the molecular structure of DNA, which they called a "double helix," in the journal Nature. For this breakthrough discovery, Watson, Crick, and their colleague Maurice Wilkins won a Nobel Prize in Physiology, or Medicine, in 1962.

Answer: Francis Crick and James Watson (or Rosalind Franklin).

Explanation: After Crick and Watson took over the study that Franklin did, they managed to figure out the structure and the parts of the DNA. But specifically, Crick and Watson were the people who called the structure a “double helix”.

Why do autotrophs have to go through BOTH processes?
Anton [14]

Answer:Plants are autotrophs, which means they produce their own food. They use the process of photosynthesis to transform water, sunlight, and carbon dioxide into oxygen, and simple sugars that the plant uses as fuel. These primary producers form the base of an ecosystem and fuel the next trophic levels.

Concept map: what is the difference between condensation reactions and hydrolysis reactions?
Llana [10]
Hydrolysis is equals to hydro which means water plus lysis which means splitting. Therefore, hydrolysis means splitting/breaking a chemical bond by the addition of water (H2O). More accurately, it is by the introduction of the elements that make up water which are hydrogen and oxygen. Simple example of hydrolysis reaction is an ester is hydrolyzed into an alcohol and a carboxylic acid. Condensation on the other hand is the opposite of hydrolysis. Condensation occurs when two Hydrogen and one Oxygen are LOST from a compound or compounds during the reaction. Most often this occurs when 2 reactants form one product were bond between them being formed by the concerted loss of water (H2O). Condensation example is an alcohol + a carboxylic acid -> ester + H2O.

Mkey [24]

The most specific category and level shared by humans, gorillas, and howler monkeys (from the new world) are Suborder Anthropoidea.

What is suborder Anthropoidea?

Anthropoidea is a suborder of primates that includes humans, gorillas, and monkeys. Anthropoids are larger than prosimian primates and have flatter, more human-like faces. They also have larger brains.

Unquestionably apes, dryopithecines lived in the following Miocene. According to the conventional palaeontological theory, these Miocene apes gave rise to three new lineages in turn, one of which led to gibbons, another to big apes, and the third to humans.

However, it has long been held that the ancestors of both gibbons and orang-utans diverged from the ancestral line of the advanced Primates at an early date and that this line only later split into two groups, one of which included humans and the other of which included the gorilla and the chimpanzee; recent palaeontological evidence now tends to support this second view.
