let me add a bit more material, to the great reply above, which is absolutely correct.

we know that AB = AC, that means that triangle ABC is an isosceles and that its two angles at the "base" are congruent, namely the blue angles in the picture.

Since all flat-lines are 180°, then we know the angle to the left of point B is 180 - 44 - 23, and that angle is a corresponding angle with 67 + x.

Answer:

Answer: <u> </u><u>x</u><u> </u><u>is</u><u> </u><u>4</u><u>6</u><u>°</u><u> </u>

Step-by-step explanation:

• Let's first find Angle ACB

{ \rm{ \angle ACB + 23 \degree + 90 \degree = 180 \degree}} \\  \\ { \rm{ \angle ACB = (180 - 90 - 23) \degree}} \\  \\ { \underline{ \rm{ \:  \angle ACB = 67 \degree}}}

• From alternative angles, x = Angle BAC.

• Since AB = AC, then Angle ABC = Angle ACB

{ \rm{x +  \angle ABC +  \angle ACB = 180 \degree}} \\  \\ { \rm{x + 67 \degree + 67 \degree = 180 \degree}} \\  \\ { \rm{x + 134 \degree = 180 \degree}} \\  \\ { \boxed{ \rm{x = 46 \degree}}}

The goal of a nutritional study was to compare the caloric intake of adolescents living in rural areas of the US with the calori
stiks02 [169]

Answer:

To give more clarity to the question, lets examine the attached back-to-back stem plot.

A)

Having examined the stem plot, we can using quick calculations, summarize that:

The mean (40.45 cal/kg) and median (41 cal/kg) daily caloric intake of ninth-grade students in the rural school is higher than the corresponding measures of center, mean (32.6 cal/kg) and median (32 cal/kg), for ninth-graders in the urban school.

The median and the mean for the students in the 9th grade in the urban school is lower than that of those of their contemporaries in the rural school. The respective medians and means are stated below:

Urban 9th Grade Students

Median = 32 cal/kg

Mean = 36 cal/kg

Rural 9th Grade Students

Median = 41 cal/kg

Mean = 41 cal/kg

Please note that all figures above have been approximated to the nearest whole number.

B)

It is unreasonable to generalize the findings of this study to all rural and urban 9th-grade students in the United States because the sample is too small compared to the target population size.

To allow for generalization, they would have to collect and analyze more samples say from every state within America.

Cheers!

An animal shelter spends $3.00 per day to care for each cat and $6.50 per day to care for each dog. Amelia noticed that the shel
Ede4ka [16]

Answer:

There were 15 cats at the shelter on Friday.

Step-by-step explanation:

Cost of caring each cat = $3.00

Cost for caring each dog = $6.50

Total money spent by shelter = $84.00

Total Cats and Dogs in the shelter = 21

Let the number of cats in the shelter = k

So, the number of dogs in shelter =  21 -k

Also according to the question:

Total expenditure on cats + total expenditure on dogs = $84.00

or, k ($3.00) + (21-k)($6.50)  = $84.00

or, 3k + 136.5 - 6.5 k = 84

or, -3.5 k = 84 - 136.5 = -52.5

⇒3.5 k = 52.5  or k = 52.5/3.5 = 15

⇒  k = 15

Hence, the number of cats in the shelter was 15 on Friday.
