The changes in society have affected the education system today particularly in American high schools because the changes in society have impacted more negatively within the peer groups that high school students associate themselves with.

A society is an environment that constitutes a group of people or tribe who are living together in harmony and they also maintain and adhere to their societal norms and value.

According to the application of science to sociology, the educational system today has been affected because:

some of the student(s) do not have the desire for education due to oppression from their drug addict peers.
some students' parents/guardians do not make enough income in society and their children's student loan is sucking them.

I believe that understanding and studying society is still essential today because that could help us move on the correct path to develop ourselves and the society such that problems like poor high school graduation don't continue to exist or worsen.
